Hi everyone! I’m back with another fashion post, are you proud of me?! This post is brought by a very special occasion, AKA my favorite holiday — Dapper Day! If you haven’t heard of it (and I’m so sorry if you haven’t), Dapper Day happens twice a year, in the fall and in the spring, at Disney World, Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris, and is a day for people to dress up and go to the park looking dapper, whether that be in contemporary or vintage style!
This Dapper Day, I wanted to do something a little out of the norm, so I decided to go as one of my favorite redheads, Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables! She was one of my favorite characters ever as a kid and she still is to this day, and I had so much fun creating a 1950s Anne Shirley look!
I went for something a bit more child-like, rather than something more like adult Anne, because I wanted to wear a hat and my hair in braids. I got a plaid skirt from Hell Bunny, the top from Poshmark, the hat from Pinup Girl Clothing, the petticoat from Lindy Bop, the socks from Amazon and the shoes from Amazon. As far as accessories, I wore pearl earrings my grandma gave me, as well as a pearl-like ring from Old Navy because Anne always said she wanted a pearl ring — and lastly, my friend Hayley made me an amethyst brooch! (Don’t worry, it’s not real amethyst.)
Have you ever gone to Dapper Day? Thanks for reading!
