Mini reviews: Arvazallia hair products and Body Merry skin products*

Hello beauties! Today’s post brings you two mini reviews for products I’ve received in exchange of an honest review on my blog. I received these products through Tomoson and BrandBacker, and these brands were kind enough to choose me to send free products to for me to try and let you all know how I felt! So let’s get on with it, yes?

First, let me start with the Body Merry products I received. I got these through BrandBacker, in case anyone is wondering! I received their eye gel, cellulite defense gel cream, and their stretch marks and scars defense cream. Of these three, I used the eye gel and the cellulite defense most, since I don’t have any stretch marks or scars I needed to heal!

The eye gel contains vitamin C, matrixyl 3000, hyaluronic acid, MSM, peptides, plant stem cells, silk proteins, and vitam E. Wow, that’s a mouthful! It claims to battle the signs of aging and fatigue and give a lasting, well-rested and youthful twinkle to your eyes. I used this regularly at night to get a feel for how I felt about it and while I liked the product enough, I couldn’t see it making a noticeable difference. The texture is of somewhat thick consistency, but when applied to my eye area, it left my skin feeling sticky and like it didn’t actually absorb into my skin.

The cellulite defense cream contains caffeine, retinol and seaweed, and claims to visibly reduce the appearance of unwanted bumps and lumps and leave your skin feeling and looking tighter, younger and smoother. I actually really liked this product and when I remembered to use it twice a day like indicated, it felt like the cellulite did actually diminish a bit. Additionally, the cream leaves your skin feeling tingly and cool and I love how it felt!

The stretch marks and scars cream I didn’t use enough to have much of an opinion on it, but it’s extremely thick in consistency and smells very strongly like cocoa butter. I mainly used it on my arms, and it left them feeling soft and hydrated!

Through Tomoson, I received the Arvazallia Advanced Color Care System for color-treated hair (which mine very much is, so I was excited to try it out). I received the moisturizing shampoo, restorative conditioner and rejuvenating hair mask, and after a few tries, I got a feel for what it’s like.

The smell is great and the products seem to be great quality. When I used them, my hair felt great afterwards, smooth, soft and looking very healthy! The only problem is that the shampoo is a bit thick and doesn’t lather up when you rub it in your hands, which made it a bit hard to apply all over and make sure it was spreading evenly throughout my hair, so when I washed it, I ended up with the back of my head feeling like it still had product in it, even after it was dry.

I tried it again when my best friend Kira came over to do my hair this week, and they said that it was weird and even when they washed my hair, it still felt like it wasn’t quite rinsed out of my hair completely. Now, Kira is a professional hair stylist, so I would think if anyone knows how to wash hair, it’s them, right? So I don’t know what’s up with the shampoo and why it reacted like that to my hair.

That being said, the combination of the shampoo and the conditioner or the hair mask did leave my hair feeling super soft and shiny in the places it completely did rinse out of. I’ll probably give this shampoo a few more tries and see how it goes and maybe I can figure out the trick to it, but otherwise it looks like I’ll be going back to my old shampoo!

Have you tried any of these products before?
